Why I’m meditating 300 hours

May 16, 2025

I’ve now made it an explicit goal to meditate 300 hours in 2025. I’m halfway there. I’ve meditated 150 hours: An hour a day for 146 straight days, plus 4 additional hours.

You might think I’m on some kind of sabbatical, but I consider my one-hour meditation session a part of my workday. Spending so much time meditating actually makes me more productive. keep on reading »

100 Journal Prompts Workbook now on Amazon paperback

May 13, 2025

The 100 Journal Prompts Workbook has just passed the Amazon approval process, and is now available as a paperback. I’ve set a low introductory price so you can grab it now.

A paperback journal?

This is so new I haven’t yet gotten my hands on a copy, but I’ll be interested to see how a paperback version of the journal turns out. For the best possible writing experience, I recommend buying a spiral-bound journal from my store.

100 Journal Prompts Spiral BoundIn fact, I’ve set up a 20% off coupon for the journal or any bundle that includes the spiral bound journal, such as the journal-habit starter kit (which, even with the discount, would qualify for free U.S. shipping).

To commemorate the launch of the Amazon paperback journal, use the code PAPERJPW for 20% off any package that includes the spiral-bound journal on my store or just click this link.

Or, buy the paperback journal on Amazon.

A discounted ebook not by me that might be of interest to you: I just noticed Austin Kleon’s Show Your Work is only $1.99 on Amazon Kindle.

Related Discount Alert: How to be Everything

May 09, 2025

I like to keep an eye out for Kindle deals I think my readers will enjoy – especially those on time management and creativity. These are great reads to explore between my own books. Plus, when readers like you grab these deals, it can help signal to Amazon’s algorithm that my books belong alongside them.

Today I noticed that How to Be Everything, by Emilie Wapnick is only $1.99 on Amazon Kindle, marked down a massive 89% (previously it was $17.99) keep on reading »

How I reduced my microplastics exposure (without going crazy)

April 22, 2025

Microplastics are so ubiquitous that the common choices are to either surrender to the inevitable exposure or drive yourself crazy trying to eliminate every possible source – which is impossible because microplastics are in our bodies from birth, and a main source of exposure is the air we breathe.
